After 8+ years based at ChristChurch Fulham, SW6 3TD, the Hammersmith & Fulham foodbank desperately needs a new office. After a long search, we have been offered the unused attic space at St Matthew’s Church, Wandsworth Bridge Road, SW6 2TX. This space will be available for the long term and will allow us the opportunity to not only run the Foodbank and continue to develop our poverty fighting projects; but we will also be able to use this site to offer more to local residents in crisis. We plan to run holiday clubs, community meals, and our cooking and budgeting course, Eat Well Spend Less and more.
The foodbank ‘cafe’ opened here a few weeks ago, and it is such a welcoming, and bright space to meet with people. As well as our Citizen’s Advice workers, the Law Centre are also available for consultations on Tuesday mornings – something we would never have been able to do at our old site due to space constraints.
If we don’t raise these funds, we don’t know what we will do.
The new office will be located in an attic space, so we will need to put in a staircase, add a couple of Velux windows, electrics, phone lines etc, but we do not need to pay rent, and as long as we behave ourselves, we can stay for as long as we need to!  The more people that pledge their support, the more likely we are to attract larger funders. Would you please pledge your support (no amount too small or too big) to ensure that we are able to continue our award-winning work?
